Larissa Mervin

After graduation, I got married and attended law school at Quinnipiac University School of Law in Hamden, CT. I finished my last year of law school at UNC School of Law in Chapel Hill. Shortly after passing the Bar, I gave birth to the sweetest little girl, Elizabeth Grace Mervin (“Lizzie”). I have done work for the Center for Death Penalty Litigation in Durham, NC as a project attorney working on Racial Justice Act projects. In March 2012, I was appointed by the Raleigh City Council to serve a two year term on the Raleigh Human Relations Commission. The Commission advises the Raleigh City Council on human relations issues and strives to promote harmony among Raleigh citizens and the diverse groups within Raleigh. I finished my first term in August 2013. I currently work at Triangle Family Services, a non-profit in Raleigh, N.C. I facilitate supervised visitation, conduct Spanish-speaking intakes, and write case reports.
