Alex Fitzgerald, BA ’09

After graduating from UNCG in 2009, I continued to work in retail for a couple of years and then went to Guilford College for my paralegal studies degree in 2011. After completion of the course, I took the NC State Bar Paralegal Exam and became certified in November of 2011.  All the while, I was continuing to work in the retail and food businesses due to the economy, and in January of 2013, I started with a workers’ compensation firm in Greensboro called Oxner Thomas and Permar, where I am a paralegal. We handle injured workers’ claims and work closely with The NC Industrial Commission.
