Micheal Wright

When I enrolled at UNCG, I initially sought the business administration track, hoping to double up with a JD and MBA following my undergraduate studies at UNCG. However, after my first two years, I realized that Sociology provided the most synthesis with my skill set, passions and ultimate purpose/plan in life. After graduation, I returned to New York, facing the worst job market in the city since the blackout years of the late 1970s. I reentered the real estate market (because of previous experience), and while that was somewhat lucrative, the job market as a whole was rough. I finally landed a position with JP Morgan Chase, which was on the path that I was initially seeking, but after one year, I was laid off along with dozens of others following the $2 billion losses by Chase early in 2012. In the interim from 2010 until December 2012, I pursued two Masters degrees: an MS in Organizational Leadership and another in Human Resources Management. I then began law school at the Charlotte School of Law in January 2013.
