Linda Carroll, BA ’96 and MA ’03

Linda Warden Carroll holds a BA in English and Sociology and an MA in Sociology from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. During her time here, she was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa, the nation’s most prestigious honor society, and Alpha Kappa Delta, the international Sociology honor society. She has taught for UNCG both in the classroom and online since August 2007.  Her main sociological interests are in the areas of chronic disease/illness and the working poor.  Her master’s thesis investigated the high rate of infant mortality in Winston-Salem/Forsyth County and mothers’ measures of social coherence. She notes that she LOVES teaching at UNCG!!  Ms Carroll also is a supervisor in diagnostic Radiology at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.  She has published in the Radiologic Technology Journal.
