Graduate Student Kristen Bethune Recently Presented Her Thesis Research at SSS

Graduate student Kristen Bethune recently presented her thesis research at the annual Southern Sociological Society conference and at UNCG’s Graduate Student Research Exposition. Kristen’s research examines how routine activities of college life may influence collegiate sexual assault offending and victimization. Judges at the Graduate Research Expo commented that Kristen’s research and presentation was impressive, timely, and necessary. During her graduate studies, Kristen was inducted into the Sociology Honor Society (AKD) and was awarded the William Knox Scholarship for academic excellence. Kristen defended her thesis in April and will be graduating in May 2016. Her committee included Dr. Dollar (chair), Dr. Westervelt, and Dr. Brown-Jeffy.
